Meet the Team

Two doctors with different specialties, one shared standard of care — and the team that makes the office feel like a small town instead of a clinic.

Dr. Mohammed Rawas, prosthodontist at Terrell Advanced Dentistry

Mohammed Rawas, DMD, MS

Prosthodontist

  • Practicing dentistry since 2006
  • DMD — Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine
  • Advanced Education in General Dentistry — Lutheran Medical Center / University of San Francisco
  • Graduate Prosthodontic Specialty Certificate & Master of Science — Texas A&M College of Dentistry (formerly Baylor College of Dentistry)
  • Member — American College of Prosthodontists, American Dental Association
  • Speaks English and Arabic

Dr. Rawas took the long road on purpose. After dental school at Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and advanced general dentistry training, he practiced as a general dentist for several years — then returned for specialty training in prosthodontics at Texas A&M College of Dentistry, adding a Master of Science along the way.

Prosthodontics is the dental specialty devoted to replacing and restoring teeth — implants, dentures, crowns, and bridges — and it's the center of his practice, not a sideline. His approach starts with education: patients understand their options, see their plan in writing, and stay comfortable at every stage.

Ali Hasoon, DMD

Family & General Dentist

  • DMD with high honors — Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine
  • Full-range general dentistry: preventive, restorative, and cosmetic care
  • Known for on-site dental care to underserved nursing home residents
  • Speaks English and Arabic

Dr. Hasoon is the reason “family dentistry” at our office means what it says. He earned his dental degree from Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine with high honors, and has devoted part of his career to bringing dental care directly to people who couldn't come to it — treating underserved residents in nursing homes on-site.

In the office, patients know him for the unhurried version of dentistry: he listens first, explains clearly, and builds treatment plans around the person in the chair rather than the other way around.

The people who run the place

Sylvia, Registered Dental Assistant at Terrell Advanced Dentistry

Sylvia

Registered Dental Assistant

With more than 20 years of chairside experience, Sylvia anticipates what the doctor needs before being asked, and she’s calmed more nervous patients and made more first visits feel easy than she could ever count. If you’re in the chair, she’s the steady, reassuring presence beside you.

Maria, patient coordinator at Terrell Advanced Dentistry

Maria

Patient Coordinator

With more than 20 years of front-office experience, Maria is often the first voice you’ll hear and the person who makes the confusing parts simple — verifying your insurance before you arrive, explaining your estimated costs, and finding an appointment time that works for your life. By the time you walk in, much of the hard part is already handled.

Between our doctors and team, we speak English, Arabic, and Spanish — care in the language you think in.
